God’s Provision

We say God is our Provider

But how do we experience His provision

For some of us we have a need

and expect God to leave the provision on the doormat

But …….

That isn’t how it happened in the Bible

when Peter said in Matthew 17

that they needed money for the temple tax

Jesus told him to go down to the water

and take the first fish he saw

and the money he needed would be in the mouth of the fish

when there was famine in the land

and Elijah needed food

God first told him to go to the Kerith Brook

and while he was there for many days

he was fed each day by the ravens

 but later God wanted to supply in a different way

and told him now to go to Zarephath

and while he was there a very poor widow fed him

Each time it was different

and each time they had to be obedient to what God said

before they received their provision

So for us  -  

We need to hear what God is saying to in each of  situation

and be obedient to what He says

if we are to receive what we need

Don’t just tell Him your need

But stay…… and listen………..

and do what He says
