What is it that robs us of our peace?
Cares, anxieties, worries and concerns
Call them what you like they all add up to the same thing
A troubled mind!
But Jeremiah 17 talks about the man who trusts in the LORD,
whose confidence is in God.
It says he will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit.
Saying - he will always be at peace no matter what his circumstances
for he chooses to give His worries to God to resolve
in response to 1 Peter 5 v 7 which says that
we should give Him our anxiety
because He cares for us
Phil 4 says that His peace will actually guard
our heart and mind if we offload our concerns to him
and Matt 6 v 33 encourages us to use our minds
for seeking the matters of the kingdom
while God deals with our concerns
