God has an eternal plan through the ages and He
uses His Kingdom people to outwork that plan in each generation. We each have a part to play. We are not just here to live out our life
until we die but we have a purpose within the plan of God.
So when we face challenges and tough times in
life do we moan and complain and wonder why life is so tough or do we see it as
training and preparation for something significant in God’s eternal plan.
Why did Jesus send His disciples into the storm
on the Sea of Galilee? To teach them to trust Him in every situation of life.
Soon He’d be leaving them, so He used different experiences to equip them for
the future. What are you trying to overcome today? Instead of complaining about
it, or asking God to take it away, try to see it as preparation or training for the thing
He has called you to do.
How does a caterpillar develop into a
butterfly? Would it be easier to stay in the comfort of the cocoon? Some days
the struggle is so great that the caterpillar probably thinks so. But the price
of freedom, flight, and discovery, is struggle, development, and breakthrough.
There is no other way.
And it’s the same for us.
So ............. don’t resist those things that He is using to
train you for a future purpose as resisting only makes things tougher. Yield to
the hand and purpose of God and seek His strength to take you through as you
believe in a future destiny beyond the current situation.
You are a significant part in God's purposes and He needs to shape you and train you to make you "fit for purpose". Let that give you a hope as you go forward.
