Yes - that's right - secret smiles
not as weird as "can you smell the colour nine?" but certainly going that way - but if we want to touch the deeper things of God we have to go beyond the rational and the reasonable because God is much bigger than our mindsets and we have to be willing to break out and break free!!After yesterday's thought of letting God do the fighting for you I wanted to share the concept of secret smiles because, for me, it's the antidote to not hitting back when others have hit out at you (metaphorically).
When we hold our breath, or bite our tongue rather than speak out those tongue lashings that had sprung to mind - no-one else sees or knows what self-control we have had in holding back - except God - and so it does one good at that point of dying to self to look up and have a secret smile with God, and He will smile on you as He sees and approves of your unseen actions.
So go ahead and try it and
warm your heart as
you bite your tongue !!
