The Mark of the Beast

Many consider the "mark of the beast" to be a literal mark, a physical mark
Something we must be careful to avoid
But ........  just as the mark of God on believers is not a visible or literal mark
But is the Holy Spirit within and is manifest by the nature of the Spirit
Let me suggest that in the same way 
The mark of the beast is the nature of the beast 
And is rooted in both good and evil - as is the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge
And the "good" is more deceptive than the evil
The "good" is more acceptable and subtle to our carnal minds 
But the "good" of man which is rooted in the Tree of Knowledge
Should be just as unacceptable to us as the evil which we more easily see
Satan is capable of using either good or evil to bring about his purposes
And his purpose is to destroy the works of God any way he can
So be alert, be aware, be spiritually sensitive
