When the Wise Men followed the star
they got as far as Jerusalem … and the palace of Herod
and believed they had reached their destination.
The situation met their expectations
as to where they expected to find a new king.
But ….. it was not the place
It was not a palace in Jerusalem
but a stable in Bethlehem where Jesus was found
And I was seeing a parallel in our perception of church today
Many have settled for a “Jerusalem”
In structured church with leaders and programmes and agendas
But God wants us to find the “Bethlehem”
The unstructured, non-leadership
relationship and network-based kingdom living
