Knowing things from the Bible
is knowing things from someone else's experience
Until we have our own revelation or
our own experience
We don't really "know" the truths and the promises that are there
We easily sing - Psalm 23 - an experience of David
And he says - the Lord is my Shepherd - I have everything I need
But for many of us we don't know the reassurance and security
of Jesus as our Shepherd - for we panic when we face a challenge
We don't know the reality of having everything we need
Because we are in debt, short of money to pay the bills
The truth of Psalm 23 is not our experience
Yet we easily proclaim it in song
So ...... be earnest in seeking your own experiences
Having your own revelation
Have your own testimony to declare
And live from truth
