Psalm
37:7 says
Be still in the presence of the Lord
and wait patiently for Him to act
How often does He speak a word or impart a
vision
and then make us wait !!
It may feel like wasted time but ……….
in God’s economy it’s a very fruitful time
He is seeing whether we are willing to wait
for Him
or whether we will eventually go ahead in
self-effort
and try to make His plan happen – as did
Abraham
He uses the time to set us apart and make us
holy
Shaping us; moulding us; allowing us to
develop perseverance
which then builds character
We can’t bring His purpose into fulfilment through
our own efforts
But it is good to live under its inspiration
until it fulfils itself
Be satisfied; Be content
to sit in His presence and wait for His time
to act
