In 1 Peter 1 God says
Be holy, as I am holy
And there are two parts to being holy
Firstly God makes us holy in the sense that He has
made us innocent before Him (Col 1)
but then we have to turn that innocence
into holy character
through the moral choices that we make
and how we live
