We know how parents seek to bring some discipline or control into a child's life -
for the greater good of the child
and how Grandparents will often undermine them
by pleading on the child's behalf or
slipping the forbidden things to them
I think in a similar way
people will often - misguidedly - be like the grandparents
and interfere with what God is doing in someone's life
They will feed their weaknesses and indulge their sinful nature
out of a desire to help them escape tough situations
God gives us what we need
What He knows is best
What will refine us
Without indulging our sinful nature
Jesus is the Bread of Life
Spirit is River of Life
He will meet our hunger - He will satisfy our thirst
But ……. He will do it in a right way
Whereas people may do it in a wrong way - with the best of intentions
but still not the best from God's perspective
