A problem we often face is ….
We try to do what is right rather than what God wants
We easily become “people-pleasers”
But doing what is right opens the way for condemnation
Because …
we never really know what is the right thing to do
What is right to you ….
Is not always right to someone else
Culture, personal history, up-bringing etc
all complicate what is right
There is no rule that says you have to help people
It is the Spirit always
Not helping is sometimes the right thing to do
as it pushes people into God
and they have to trust Him for the answer
But also ..... helping is sometimes the right thing to do
as it cuts into our selfishness
Gal 5:25
Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
John 5:19
Jesus gave them this answer:
"I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself;
He can do only what he sees his Father doing,
because whatever the Father does the Son also does.
