A Poem for my mother

She came too soon – she stayed too long
That was her own perception
But … the One who knows – the One who cares
Is right … with no exception

The body failed – The mind confused
A tangle of frustration
But sweet release – the time had come
She is a new creation

The room was done  – the place prepared
The heavenly Host was drumming
He called her name – He called her home
And she replied I’m coming

So mind renewed – A body gained
And one that will not alter
The transfers done – she made it home
A place that will not falter

She’s found her peace ~ She’s found her rest
She’s free, without a care
Her future’s bright – her time is long
And if you go you’ll see her there
