We may wonder why we don’t see as many
“acts of power” as the apostles did
But …… may I suggest that
we need to be more sensitive to God’s timing
more aware of God’s involvement.
May I suggest that we too easily move …
ahead of time
and go forth in self effort
fuelled by emotions or good intentions.
Jesus said ….. He only did
what He saw His Father doing
and so ….. when His mother asked Him
to help at the wedding when they ran out of wine
He didn’t act immediately
but waited until He knew God’s involvement
in the situation
When He heard Lazarus was ill
He didn’t act immediately
But waited until He saw God raising from the dead
rather than healing
