As the image in a mirror has no substance of its own
but merely reflects the image that is before it
so we should have nothing of ourselves
but be a reflection of all that is in Jesus.
But this is not done by self-effort
It is done by a work of God in our lives
For it says in 1 Corinthians 3 v 18
We who reflect the Lord’s glory
are being transformed into His likeness
with ever-increasing glory
which comes from the Lord –
who is the Spirit
