If God was only 'one' and not a three-part being - the Trinity
then He would have no-one to relate to
and there would be no expression of relationship
to impart or express to us people

He wants us to live in relationship
with each other and with Him
and He demonstrates relationship within the Trinity
as a pattern for us to follow
