When God created woman He did something different
He created the animals one by one
He created Adam from the dust
Each animal was a separate unit
As was Adam at that point
But when God created woman, He did something different
He drew something - a rib - right out of Adam's being
And created woman around that bone
So man and woman are unique from the rest of creation
They are not individual separate beings - they are part of a whole
For they were drawn out of the other
They are an extension of each other
Two parts of the same thing
Finding their completeness in each other
So, where in marriage we won't meld or mould or yield
we are denying that completeness that is our real destiny
our true potential
To know our complete identity
we have to see it in the context of our spouse
And the revelation of all which that means
is a constant journey of discovery
