Opportunities or Obstacles?

Opportunities or obstacles? Adventures or problems?
What do we see in our situations?
Our answer is rooted in out knowledge of the Father
if we really knew Him then we would receive everything as an opportunity
or an adventure in Him
If I can only see everything as it relates to the here and now
then it is rooted in self-awareness.
We so easily think - my life has to be worthwhile either in God's purposes
or in achieving our own goals
but that is looking from a wrong perspective.
We feel driven to show that "my life is worthwhile"
but in God's economy that can look very different to what the world
or we ourselves want to see.
It's God's life - we're in His hands
He wants to outwork His purposes
and we tangle things up when we introduce our own agenda.
Perpetual motion isn't necessary.
Settle into His plans
Busy in His plans doesn't bring pressure
He bears the weight of the yoke
He is ultimately responsible
Rest in His purposes - busy but at rest
Inner peace - innner stillness
Don't seek to prove something that doesn''t have to be proved.
It's not about joining up - it's about living kingdom life
and living in relationship with God & with others
It's about being conformed into His likeness through our daily situations
Not self-seeking or demanding our rights or fair treatment
But - reflecting His nature and His character of grace, humility
meekness and kindness
