Psalm 33 v13 says
The Lord looks down from Heaven
and sees the whole human race
From His throune
He observes all who live on the earth
He made their hearts
so He understands everything they do
How personal is that - He made not just you generally
but He made your heart
He formed it and fashioned it in His own hand
and He still seeks to hold it in His hand
to shape it; restore it; heal it; protect it
because He understands everything we do
Why we react - and why we respond
He knows us better than we know ourselves
He knows when what seems good is done from wrong motives
He knows when what seems wrong was done with right motives
He is seeking to bring us back into His image
As when He first thought of creating man and said
"Let us make him in our image"
Where that image has been lost be sin
and the circumstances of life
He wants to restore that image
For His glory and the honour of His name
So rest in His hand and be at peace
Respond to His pathway and be renewed
