When you think of peace which picture is a truer reflection of your understanding

A peaceful quiet landscape
with lakes and woods and trees
birds singing, and the quiet flow of water

or

A raging rushing waterfall tumbling over the rocks
with the branch of a birch tree leaning out over the torrent
and a small bird nesting in one of its branches

It's likely we would pick the first picture - serene and quiet
but that suggests that we only find peace
when our circumstances are ggod

True peace is reflected in the second picture
When ....... all around is raging
But we can be still and at peace
Because it is in our inner being
Not in our circumstances
