Did He really mean it ? (1)

Did Jesus really mean it when He said in Matt 23 v 8-10

But you are not to be called 'Rabbi', for you have only one Master and you are all brothers.
And do not call anyone on earth 'father', for you have one Father, and he is in heaven.
Nor are you to be called 'teacher', for you have one Teacher, the Christ.

And to this list we could presumably add "Pastor, Minister, Reverend" etc

So did He really mean it or was He just wasting words ?

So if He really meant it - why do so many people/churches disregard it
