We had a bill - a big bill at that
We had no money in the bank - and that was that
We had a leaflet through the door
From neighbours we'd not seen before
We've lost our cat - since yesterday
and there's a reward for those who say -
"we've found your cat"
and that was that
Two days later and a few hours more
I found that cat outside our door
hidden behind the garden shed
that was where it had made it's bed
I called the neighbours on the phone
they quickly came and took it home
I'd found the cat
And that was that
A few days passed and time went by
Then on the doorstep I did spy
A bunch of flowers and a letter
and this is where all things got better
The reward was given - a £500 cheque
The bill unpaid I need to check
£500 exactly that
and so it was paid by finding a cat !!!
Isn't God amazing, cool and exciting in the way He chooses to do things !!!
But it's no good running round looking for lost cats to pay your unpaid bills - He really is a God of surprises and a God of variety
He won't do the same thing next time.
If He became too predictable we would not need to keep in touch with Him and it's relationship and fellowship He wants more than anything so He wants us to always be in that place where we have to ask Him what He is going to do next or how He is going to outwork the current situation for us.
