Set your mind on things above

We are encouraged to set our minds on things above Col 3 v 2
To fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Cor 4 v 18
and we need to believe that the eternal is as real as the physical - just because we can see the actual world around us we allow that to hinder us from seeing beyond into the eternal right now
Consider: when a baby is in the womb it is aware of nothing more than the enclosed space in which it is growing and would consider that to be it's whole world - yet we know that this growing baby is surrounded by - within a matter of inches - a very real physical world which we all know of - noisy; alive; vibrant; active - but try telling that to an unborn baby - it can't begin to imagine the concept that you are talking about - and in the same way the eternal realm surrounds us and is that close to us - just a breath away and if we reach out in our spirit - regularly - we can become increasingly in touch with what is going on out there.
Be willing to step out - in faith - and step into a spiritual awareness of somethng more valid; real; effective and powerful than all that you experience now
